Medals of the Anglo-Boer War 1899 – 1902

Besides the ‘Anglo – Boere Oorlog’ medal (see above) three British medals were awarded for the Second Anglo- Boer War. The Queen’s Medal, with or without one or more of its total of 26 engagement clasps, was awarded to members of many South African colonial units. The King’s Medal was much less frequently awarded, and it is doubtful whether any South African qualified for the Transport Medal in his capacity as a Colonial.
