The following Electoral Roll was transcribed by Sue MacKay from the Cape Frontier Times 30 August 1853 from CO53/20 National Archives, Kew, London.

The following names of Voters within the Electoral Division of Graham's Town
have been registered by the Registering Officer. All parties whose names are
not inserted therein are earnestly requested to register them on or before
the 4th prox, in terms of the Constitution Ordinance, otherwise they will be
disenfranchised.
